Installation work
Date of work: 2009- Medium: mixed media (seeds, fruits, bird, water, found objects etc.) Dimensions: size variable Description: My work process does not emerge from an initial idea but rather to be influenced and to respond to the space and materials/ objects found void of meaning. These objects are viewed and appreciated for their physical attributes such as shapes and colours. Materials are chosen and rearticulated to be free of their associated meanings, in the aim to allow the viewers a new and sometimes unexpected way of perceiving them. Amongst working with objects, I have also included living things that injected an element of unpredictability in the interaction between live and inanimate objects. Recently, these living things have progressed from plants to birds. These birds do not own the same understanding as us humans towards the objects they are surrounded with. By watching the birds’ response to their surrounding, we are in turn being re-educated and re-introduced towards our own very own surroundings. *click thumbnails to view slideshow in Flickr. / 画像をクリックするとスライドショーをご覧になることができます。
